A well-known critic once described our wines as “swoon inducing.” While
we’re not sure exactly where this quality originates-perhaps in the earth and sun of our low yield vineyards, or in the touch of our masterful winemakers -whatever it is that gives Carter Cellars wines the ability to stir the passions and overwhelm the senses. Each wine we craft displays that certain characteristic of power and balance, intensity matched with grace, that has become a signature of the Carter Cellars marquis.

Carter Cellars Current Releases

The Carter Cellars 2009 vintage possesses our signature qualities of bright fruit with intense structure and age worthiness, alongside a deep and true representation of the vineyards from which they were sourced.  We were gifted with an ideal growing season and a long, mild summer.  Our grapes were harvested fully ripe before the heavy October rain storms which preserved their finesse and deep concentration.

This vintage we were finally able to release our second Cabernet bottling from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard ‘The Grand Daddy’ to incredible feedback from customers and trade alike.  In addition to this new wine we also released a 2009 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet, a powerful Coliseum Block Cabernet, a deep and rich Hossfeld Red Blend and our Truchard Vineyard Merlot.
